Tap the + button and type what you're counting down to in natural language. For example, "Sarah's wedding June 14" or "Trip to Tokyo next April." Near parses the date automatically. You can also set the date manually.
Near transforms it into a memory capsule. You'll get a notification, and the moment moves to your Memories section. With Near+, an on-device AI recap is generated to capture what you were feeling.
Long-press on your Home Screen, tap Add Widget, and search for "Near." Choose from small, medium, and large widgets to see your countdowns at a glance. Near also supports Lock Screen and StandBy widgets.
Yes. If you're signed into iCloud, your moments sync automatically through your private iCloud account using CloudKit. Your synced data is never seen or accessed by anyone but you.
Near+ unlocks unlimited moments and AI-written memory recaps. Free users get 3 active moments with all other features included. Near+ is available as a monthly plan ($0.99/month), annual plan ($4.99/year), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($9.99).
Go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone to view, change, or cancel. If you purchased the Lifetime plan, no management is needed — it's yours forever.
Completely. Near has no servers, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. All AI processing runs on your device. Your data lives in your private iCloud — nobody can access it. Not even me.

No. Near is fully usable without signing in. Sign in with Apple is offered as an optional feature in Settings to personalize your experience and prepare for future shared features. Your moments sync through your private iCloud whether or not you sign in.
Open Settings inside Near and tap Delete Account in the account section. After confirmation, your stored profile (name, email, Apple user identifier) is permanently removed from your device. Your moments are independent of your account and are not affected.
